“The Creation” by Wintley Phipps
I could listen to this man’s voice ALL day long!
I could listen to this man’s voice ALL day long!
I asked God to take away my pride, and God said, “NO!”
He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole, and God said, “NO!”
He said, “Her spirit is whole, and her body is only temporary!”
I asked God to grant me patience, and God said, “NO!”
He said, that patience is a by-product of tribulation; it isn’t granted, it’s earned!
I asked God to give me happiness, and God said, “NO!”
He said, He gives blessings; happiness is up to me!
I asked God to spare me pain, and God said, NO!
He said, “Suffering draws you apart from wordly cares, and brings you closer to Me!”
I asked God to make my spirit grow, and God said, “NO!”
He said, I must grow on my own, but He will prune me to make me more fruitful!
I asked God if He loved me, and God said, “YES!!!”
He gave His only Son who died for me, and I will be in Heaven someday because I believe!
I asked God to help me love others as much as He love me,
And God said, “Ahhhh, finally ~ you have the idea!”

When I started my walk with the Lord, I was watching Joel Osteen regularly. My Pastor always said “Watch what you are watching on TV”
I thought what can it hurt, I just like to watch him and he is so ggod in what he does.
Well after a while of walking with my Father, I alone by myself learned that Joel Osteen is not a teacher of the Gospel whatsoever. If anything he is a motivational speaker, but thats it. And listen how he feels about homosexuality, gay marriages. He says ” This is not what he is called to do. What a crock of you know what!
What are your thoughts?
Well guys, it has been a day like I like them. It wasnt cold, but it wasnt hot either. I am hotblooded I guess, so I dont like the heat. I love spring and fall a lot! I do not like whatsoever summer. I cant stand the humidity. You know heat even a 100 degrees is ok, but this humidity is killing me!
But when it comes to work things. I made up my mind I want to stay at Wal-mart, but I just asked if I can increase my hours a little bit. And I was told NO, only if I open up totally my availability. I cant and they know that (we have only one car, and my husband works the stupidest nightshift there is)
So here I go again thinking…should I stay or should I go…LOL
If someone reads this they think she is crazy, but I am not its just I can work only certain hours.
What should a woman do?????
I see I had lots of visitors to the blog today checking out my latest post about putting links on for blogs I find and find interesting. I guess I am on the right track in the blogging world.
For a few days now, I pray before I open the Bible and ask God to direct me in my readings. The thing is for three days in a row now, my Bible popped open at Isaiah 12. Does that have a special meaning? I wonder????
Here it is what it says in there.
The Lord is my strength and my Song
You will say in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, Oh Lord,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
that you might comfort me.”
“Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust , and will not be afraid;
for the Lord God is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon His name,
make known His deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that His name is exalted.”
“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth.
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
I truly been thinking about this EVERY day now, through the day…why does it open right there, what does this mean? If anyone knows me here, I am not very familiar with the Word. I read it and read it, but I dont understand a whole lot. And I am not a stupid person…lol REALLY NOT!
But for some reason the Bible seems to be really hard for me to read.
Anyways, what do you guys think? I am very interested in your answers.
By the way, I do not read very often out of that perticular Bible so it had no reason to open right there.
Am I crazy???…I hope not!
And another thing I complained yesterday that that new thingy I have on top of my sidebar called ” Clustrmap” didnt work. Well I just looked at my “map” and it has many little red dots…It is updated…Woohoo
See how a little thing like this can make me happy.
It doesnt take much to please me <cough>
Blessings to everyone, and you all have a great evening, and leave tons of comments on that subject or another.
Love Andrea
Hi,
we all read each others blog and leave comments, but I do believe we have to step out and check out other blogger’s. So I will start this here. I dont know how often I will update about it, but at least once or twice a week. There are so many new and older blogs that should be discovered or re-discovered.
Check out my friend Katy’s Blog. Katy is a young Lady with a very aggressive sickness. Learn about her struggles and how she clings to God. She truly is an inspiration to all of us. Her and her Family are incredible people. If your down, have huge problems…..read about her life, and your problems will shrink incredibly!

Another great blog I found and feel we all need to check out, especially since my buddy Christian News Analysys is leaving us!
http://johndobbs.wordpress.com
An encouraging blog to everyone. Check him out too!
I think I will do that now, write about other blogs i enjoy, or find way out there! We should all check out other peoples blogs and let each other know if we found something that we want to share.
So I will do that. I like to read what other people have to say and what their views are on Christianity, God, and all the things that goes with it.
Therefore I will add another blog. This one, I of course had to add my two cents
in their comment box. You read it and leave me your thoughts about it. I am not even gonna say anything until you read it yourself.
What I can say is “be shocked”, at least I was.

Now, would you please leave me some comments about which ones you liked or disliked?
I am still learning about God, godly living, and even blogging. And therefore I like to have lots of feedback, please!
Since I published her email, I guess you might want to read her second letter too…so here it goes….
Thank you, Andrea. I understand and appreciate your skepticism. I wish I had been more skeptical when I started attending Trinity Foundation! But then I would have missed knowing the love of my life who I have now been married to for seven years. Several people have told me that they believe God led me to this cult for the primary purpose of getting my husband out. He had been there for over twenty years! After we dated for seven years and still were not able to secure the blessing to be married from our leader, we finally ran off (at the age of 40, no less) and were married which eventually led to our leaving the cult.I appreciate that you prayed about it before posting my letter on your blog. May God bless you. I’m not out to make a buck, but feel this is my ministry now to warn others about religious cults and spiritual abuse. Here is an excerpt from a recent post on the Dallas Observer blog:
“The controversy surrounding Dallas-based Trinity Foundation and the book I Can’t Hear God Anymore: Life in a Dallas Cult, by Wendy Duncan, is going national next week. And then, it’s going international. Of course, we were here first: In August we ran a story about Duncan’s book in which she says Anthony, who built an international reputation by busting televangelists such as Robert Tilton is spiritually and emotionally abusive toward his followers. Duncan also claims the Trinity Foundation a cult. Though many of his former followers agree, Anthony and members still involved with the group deny many of her allegations.
This month, the book received a rave in the Cultic Studies Review; Dr. Lois V. Svoboda called it a “page-turner” and insisted it “ranks along side of Hassan’s Combating Cult Mind Control and other first person cult narratives.” On February 8-10, at the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions conference in Birmingham, Alabama, David Clark, an international expert on cults and thought reform, will host a session called “Ole Anthony, the Trinity Foundation and the Cult Controversy.” Then, in June, he’ll do the same thing at the 2007 ICSA International Conference on Cults in Brussels, Belgium. There, 100 speakers from 22 countries will conduct sessions on everything from recovery for former group members to recent research developments on cult-like behavior…
Clark decided to do a workshop on Trinity this month because the group has an internationally high profile but few insiders have ever described their own experiences inside the group. What the outsider sees is very different than what the insiders see.
“The way the organization is set up concerns me,” says Clark, “this role Anthony has of opening up the mysteries of the kingdom of God. He’s known for quoting Scripture. He dazzles people with a tap dance about the Bible. He’s like a psychological pit bull.”
Wendy Duncan’s seven-year involvement with the Trinity Foundation ended after Anthony repeatedly refused to consecrate their marriage. “Anthony said he didn’t give a ‘rat’s ass’ about their marriage,” says Clark. “That says a
lot about what he’s like.”
Clark praises Anthony for raising issues of homelessness and simple living. “A lot of the stuff he points out publicly is very noble and noteworthy,” Clark says. “I find Trinity very resourceful. I think in the anti-cult community he’s known for all those resources he makes available. But he points out that many other leaders of cult-like groups are known to be humanitarian. One example: Jim Jones, who led his followers in a mass suicide. “Very powerful people were associated with Jones and he was known for his social work with the poor,” says Clark.
Duncan, naturally, is pleased that her book will be getting attention at the two conferences.
“When I set out to write the book, I had no intention of starting a war with Ole Anthony or his group,” Wendy Duncan e-mails. “I only wanted to write about my experience in order to provide an alternative perspective on the Trinity Foundation other than the one which has been publicized in the media. Additionally, I wanted to write something that would help others recover from a cultic or spiritually abusive experience. I hoped that by sharing my story former members of Trinity Foundation and other similar groups would begin to heal from their experience.
“As I began writing the book,” Wendy writes, “I assumed that everything Ole told us about himself and his background was true. It never occurred to me that a man who preached rigorous honesty and demanded accountability from the televangelists would not hold himself to the same standard. However, in the course of writing the book my research turned up some discrepancies between what Ole says about himself and what could actually be verified.
“In my opinion, Ole Anthony is running a religious cult, although he has presented himself as one of the guardians of Christianity against the
excesses of the televangelists. However, there are serious issues that call his motives and credibility into question. I think it is this lack of
veracity that is gaining notice for my book in certain circles-especially the various apologetics and anti-cult groups.” –Glenna Whitley
Hi everyone,
Today started out nice, but turned quickly cloudy. In the afternoon we had rain pouring down. As I said before I love rain, BUT not when I get off work have to run to my truck, and wearing sandals. It was pouring down in buckets.
I got home and here we go AGAIN…lol
First I get a call from the second lender for the mortgage, she didnt have good news. Then I come online and Cumby from Christian News Analysis announced that he is not blogging after today! ![]()
I really love Cumby (Peter) like a Brother, and now he will dissapear from here. I dont know how you all feel about it? I know that myself and many, many others daily went to his blog to get the latst news and his wit. I really hate to see him go. But Peter, of course you have to do what the Lord guides you to do. I wish you all the best and do hope that you come back!
That was the second Bummer in my day!
So after a while I looked around my blog and read comments, when I realise that my “clustr map” isnt working.
Now MOM LOVES BEING AT HOME on her blog couldnt figure out how to put the same map up. I think I helped her getting it going. And then I look at her map and it is working, and mine dont. My map is there nice and shiny, but it doesnt do a thing…lol
Well, I try to stay away from that clustr map because it will drive me nuts. I am a person if something like on the computer doesnt work, I can sit for hours and try to figure it out!
But not today!!!
Now to something else, I heard about a Pastor in Kansas or wherever, he came up with a neat idea of purple bracelets. The idea came from him when he heard so many people in his church complaining about various things. So he created this bracelett with the inscription “A complaint free world” the thing is…you have to wear the bracelet for 21 days. Everytime you comlain you have to switch wrists and start over. It is believed that to break a habit it takes 21 days.
He just did that to get his congregation to stop whining about different things. And it worked BUT word got around and now this bracelets are everywhere. It started with his little church of 275 members and then more churches in that city picked it up. Now he has orders to different countries all want to have that bracelet.
And to all of that, the bracelets are FREE of charge. They will accept donations, but they dont ask for any money.
I have to say I am a HUGE complainer and when I heard of that I ordered me some bracelets!
It will take about 6 weeks for the bracelets to arrive. I will keep yu guys posted when they here and if I can break my habit of complaining!
If you would like to check his site out here is the link Acomplaintfreeworld
Let me know what you think?????!
And I added a new thingy here called “platial map” it is where I and YOU can add stuff to my map. It is located below my blogroll, check it out ! Whatever you feel like sharing have add it!
Leave me some feedback on all that stuff I wrote.

Andrea
Only a short while ago the Lord’s friends gathered around to hear Him
speak of great and wonderful things. The things of God, eternal things. Wehung on every word, savoring it, digesting it. Now, they are gone and Ialone remain, sitting at His feet. Like a delicate fragrance, the sound ofHis voice seems to linger in the air. I breath in the essence of His
presence and sigh. It’s good that I should be here; I want to stay forever.
For a moment He shuffles in His seat and I fear that my Lord is going to
leave. My heart sinks until I realize He is leaning forward and reaching outHis hands to me. All at once the child in me comes alive as Jesus lifts me to His lap and cradles me in His arms. Tears of joy fill my eyes and overflow, cascading down my cheeks. I weep softly and bury my face in the folds of His robe as His strong arms close around me.
Who am I that the Lord should hold me so tenderly?
Did He hear my anguished cry for more of Him? Had He peered into the depths of my heart and dug through the sin and deeply rooted pride and greed and actually found some good buried there? Is there any good in me? I am still so slow to learn, so quick to fall. My reasoning weaves a maze through my mind as I try to comprehend. As Jesus draws me closer to Himself, a thread of gold enters the woven maze in my mind and I understand. Jesus holds me not because of my
goodness, but His; not because of my love for Him, but rather, because of His great love for me. My thoughts become a blur, struggling to grasp what is unimaginable for the human mind. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than I think or imagine. My Lord and my God loves me. I savor this delicious morsel of truth as He gently cradles me
in His strong arms like a dear beloved child, and holds me close to His chest. A favorite Scripture from Isaiah comes to mind:
”You are mine, you are precious in my sight and I love you.”
I ponder this, these words meant for me as well.
As I listened to the Savior’s heartbeat, He also was listening to mine.
What I couldn’t put into words He heard from the cry of my heart. My desire for Him. My love for Him. My longing to be with Him. And the heartbreaking sorrow I felt for ever having done anything that put a distance between my beloved Jesus and I. For a moment He stops rocking me and I can feel His warm breath on my forehead. He tenderly says, child, look at me. I am reluctant to look up because I know that my eyes will meet His. What I have longed for, now suddenly fills me with dread. I fear what He will see in the face of this unworthy child. His fingers are beneath my chin and He raises my head until my eyes meet His. What I see is more beautiful than words can express. In His eyes there is an ocean of love, deeper, wider, and higher than all the world can contain. His eyes are the color of mercy. For a moment I feel as if I am little more than an ant at the foot of the cross, just beginning to comprehend His love and sacrifice. The King of all the universe is gazing into my eyes and communicating His love to me.
Jesus’ hand is warm against my face. He cups my cheek and wipes away my tears with His thumb. God’s thumb, wiping away my tears. He holds my face firmly for a moment and looks deep into my eyes as if to say, this is important, listen to Me. His eyes seem to plead with me as He speaks. He wants me to understand and believe it. As His eyes fill with tears, He says,
“This is why I did it; so I could hold you and love you for eternity.”
I found this on Stumbleupon, please check it out. What some people can do with their hands and some paint incredible, I think!
